Science Teaching Complex

NXL is Laboratory Architect for the five-storey Science Teaching Complex at University of Waterloo.
The complex includes first-year 36,800 sf biology and chemistry teaching laboratories on the third, fourth and fifth floors. The 120,000 sf building also houses a suite of lecture rooms, including a 425-seat amphitheatre, the largest on campus, a 300-seat lecture hall, as well as three additional 150-seat teaching rooms, student lounges, meeting rooms and a student café.
This project is being undertaken as a Design-Build with Bondfield Construction and ZAS Architects.
