As one of Canada’s leading architects for the design of process buildings, NXL is uniquely qualified to respond to the challenges that face our clients

The firm was originally founded as Allan Levine Architects in 1961 and became Levine Architects in 1987 when Jay Levine joined. Jay and David Lauzon formed a partnership in 1998 to create Levine Lauzon Architects. This firm became NXL Architects in 2004 and had a successful five-year collaboration with NFOE Inc (a division of NFOE et associés) in Montreal.

Today, NXL is a mid-size architectural firm led by Jay and David, specializing in the design of all types of controlled-environment facilities and process buildings for a range of industries, including science, technology and manufacturing.

Our work requires a thorough understanding of programme, flexible design approaches, and the seamless integration of architectural and engineering considerations.

The firm has completed feasibility studies, master plans, programming, design, and construction coordination services for research and manufacturing facilities across Canada. Our clients range from universities and hospitals to private sector start-ups and global firms.
